Title: DeerCast Bonus: A First Look at the Stealthcam Revolver Pro!

As you walk the aisles of the hunting industry trade shows, there’s no faster-developing gear on the market than cellular trail cameras.

There’s an amazing selection of cameras, with a mind-boggling number of features, performance levels, and prices. Not to mention, the ultimate trail camera weakness, blind spots.

We’ve all experienced that feeling of wondering if our camera covers enough area to give accurate data about our hunting location.

Often, we have to put out multiple camera sets, and pay for multiple cellular plans,  just to get adequate coverage of even a small food plot.

In 2024, Stealthcam has thrown down the gauntlet to address all of these pain points with the Revolver and Revolver Pro cellular trail camera.

The six-zone selection of the Revolver provides you with the versatility to select a single zone, 180-degree zone, and 360-degree zone capture.  In 360-degree zone selection and with an 80 ft. range, 0.4-second trigger speed, and 40 megapixels, you can ultimately do the same thing with one camera and better quality that could only be done with 3-5 traditional cameras.

Practical Uses

Coupled with DeerCast’s plot measurement or distance feature, you can easily calculate how many cameras you will need for complete coverage of small or large food plots. Simply attach the camera to a t-post in the prime locations of the plot or hunting area.

Are you a timber hunter? Select the 180-degree coverage and operate the camera as you typically would any other camera.

Don’t forget about turkey season! The Revolver will help you pick up where those crafty gobblers will be entering and exiting your favorite field.

And if you’re into filming your hunts, the Revovler will make for some sweet footage on the ground, whether you’re deer or turkey hunting!

Further Considerations

As I spoke with Stealthcam just hours after the Revolver’s release, excitement about this camera couldn’t be higher.

That said, it will require two primary adjustments to our thinking. With the Revolver, you’re about to see significantly more data coming your way. Stealthcam recommends two things to compensate for this. First, unlimited data on the cameras, and second, an exterior (solar) power source. Even lithium batteries will drain quickly.

A Sneak Peek

The Revolver and Revolver Pro will be available for ordering in the spring of 2024. Additionally, with an update to the app coming soon, the Revolver will be able to stitch images together, providing you with a 360-degree panorama of your hunting location. Stay tuned.
